Prof Cath Noakes appointed to REF panel

Leading academics from across the University of Leeds have been appointed to national positions to contribute to The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029.

16 academics have been selected as panel members to help develop detailed assessment criteria and working methods for each Unit of Assessment, including LIFDs very own Prof Cath Noakes.

Professor Amanda Bretman, Academic Institutional REF Lead, explains: "The REF roles announced are crucial for ensuring the process truly reflects the quality and vibrancy of UK research. To have Leeds colleagues involved means we have a strong voice at the national level in these preparations. I thank our colleagues for showing such leadership and collegiality by volunteering for these important roles."
