UK National Heat Transfer Committee UG Project Award
We are thrilled to learn that level 4 aerospace project 'Computer-Enabled Optimisation of a Heat Exchanger for Preheating Hydrogen In Future Aerospace Propulsion Systems' has just been awarded the UK National Heat Transfer Committee UG Project Award. This project was by University of Leeds students Daniel Gibbons, Antony Hodgson, John Wilson, Eric Sanders and was supervised LIFD Deputy Director Professor Harvey Thompson.
John Wilson attended the at the UK National Heat Transfer Conference 2024 in Birmingham where he accepted the award on the teams behalf. There will also be a dinner in March at the Heat Transfer Society when the students will attend alongside the industry supervisor, Professor Shahrokh Shapar of Rolls Royce.
