Face coverings and COVID-19: statement from an expert panel

Review published today on face coverings and COVID-19, with Leeds Institute for Fluid Dynamics Deputy Director Cath Noakes contributing to this as a member of the respiratory evidence panel.

The panel produced a statement of key findings and recommendations based on the results of the evidence review, combined with their expert knowledge and experience.

It discusses the occurrence of airborne transmission, why ventilation is important and that face coverings can be effective if they are good quality and fit well.
